This 200m race course is the scene of the Ninth Annual Community Dragon Boat Festival on June 23! We want you to share in this fun-filled day with your team competing against other community teams. What an amazing team building opportunity!
The festival aims to introduce people to dragon boating in a fun way while raising funds for a local non-profit organization. This year’s recipient will be the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation .

Thanks to everyone who registered and paddled on Saturday, July 21 in Trenton. We had a great day. The weather was warm and sunny, with a wind on the water, we paddled into the waves, needless to say it was harder, we got soaking wet but it was great fun!
There were 6 teams: Kingston Dragon Boat Club 'Here There Be Dragons'; Brighton Dragon Boat Club 'Heat Stroke'; Belleville's 'Top Gunnels'; Trenton's YMCA Sink or Swim and Trenton's YMCA 'Rift Raft'. All proceeds went to children's programs at the YMCA in Trenton.
Kingston did well with times of 01:10.7 minutes winning their first race vs YMCA Rift Raft. Then in their second race Kingston received almost the same time of 01:10.3 minutes winning their second race vs YMCA Sink or Swim. Kingston's third race heat they received a time of 01:10.5 vs Top Gunnels. Moving on to the B finals, Kingston DBC's team Here There Be Dragons won first place in the B Division Finals.
We hope you will join us in Wellington! More paddlers are needed.
Watch for upcoming paddle events to Kingston Mills locks for a paddlers' picnic and to Huckleberry Island in the St Lawrence River for a team pot luck. Stay tuned! Paddles up!
